The Wardens and Vestry are happy to announce that the Rev. Stephen McKee has accepted a call to serve St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Day School as their Priest In Charge. Working with the Offices of the Bishop during this initial phase of our transition, the plan is to continue as a parish under the leadership of Father McKee until we call a new rector.
Father McKee will be the primary pastor and leader of the Church and Day School, overseeing liturgy, pastoral care, congregational life and serving in the priestly roles the Day School has come to expect from St. Paul’s. He will be at St. Paul’s most Sundays and will have regular office hours. Regulars at St. Paul’s might already recognize him from the pews, where he and his wife Lindsey have been worshipping since his retirement from Trinity Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the end of last year. Father McKee served as an Associate and Chaplain at St. Paul’s from 1986 to 1989. Father McKee hit the ground running this week, already meeting with the staff, teaching a communion class at the Day School, and he will preside at the All School Eucharist Friday.
He will join St. Paul’s rota for preaching starting Sunday, September 1, 2019.
