DYG is October 25-26 and is open to all young people in grades 6-12 who would like to connect with other members of the WEMO Youth Community. We will be gathering Friday night at St. Mary’s, Kansas City for an evening of getting to know each other and working as a community to create a new processional cross to be used Saturday during the opening Eucharist of the Diocesan Convention.
We will stay the night at St. Mary’s on Friday. Saturday we will join the larger diocesan community at the 130th Annual Convention. Following the opening Eucharist, the youth community will split into groups for workshops. We will be led in some community-building activities, learning more about The Book of Common Prayer, yoga and taking some time to discuss self-care.
