Diocesan Clericus: “Will Faith, Hope, and Love Abide?” – March 30 – April 1, 2020

In an abundance of caution, and in recognition of our responsibility to the greater community, at a diocesan staff meeting held on March 11, it was agreed to cancel Clericus. We will be looking at the possibility of holding some online sessions. If you have already registered we will be contacting you to arrange returning your payment.

All members of the clergy who are canonically resident or serving in The Diocese of West Missouri are called to come together and to “come aside” from Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1 at Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City, Kansas for the annual Lenten gathering of the diocesan Clericus. The theme for this retreat is “Will Faith, Hope, and Love Abide?” and during our time together, we will:

  • Examine more deeply the clergy’s role in building and deepening the faith of individuals and communities,
  • Engage in greater depth with Renewal Works and its director, Fr. Jay Sidebotham, our guest presenter,
  • Share information about clergy transitions, pastoral concerns, and upcoming activities in the diocese, and
  • Celebrate Holy Eucharist with the renewal of ordination vows and the blessing of holy oils.

Our time together begins with lunch on Monday (arrival any time after 11 a.m.) and concludes Wednesday in the mid-afternoon.

Please bring your Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal

Registration Deadline is March 23rd
