I am so excited to share more information about the Parenting with Mindfulness workshop coming up on September 12. What the two presenters have in store for us will be invaluable and empowering, not to mention helpful in a practical day-to-day sort of way.
- Jeffrey Janney will focus his portion of the workshop on raising socially and emotionally healthy children, delving into the importance of repairing the parent’s own inner-child. From child development to solution-focused parenting models, the insight provided will be applicable to anyone caring for young people.
- Kat Mercer will center her workshop presentation on nurturing childhood and adult spirituality, an invitation to wonder, question, play, and create through stories, sacred space, and worship. Kat’s presentation also has so much to offer, from the changing face of childhood to how what we learn from children enriches our own well-being.
Especially now, when children spend so much of their day close by their caregivers (parents, grandparents, and others) we need the support, encouragement, and counsel of others. At 9 am on Saturday, September 12th, stay in your comfy clothes, settle the kids doing something fun and grab a coffee to join Parenting with Mindfulness online. No guilt here — the time spent will be an investment in family.
