On Sunday, December 12 the Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe or Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, in English, was held at Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage. Bishop Bruce was the celebrant, assisted by Fr. Jose Palma, Missioner, Hispanic Ministry, and Fr. Joe Pierjok, Associate Rector at Grace Episcopal Church. The service was delivered in both Spanish and English and included a baptism. A Mariachi band provided the music for the service and to accompany the wonderful meal that followed in the parish hall.

Updates

  • 12-22-2021. And, apologies to Fr. Joe. It has been pointed out that his official title is Associate Rector and not Assistant Rector. Thanks to Fr. Isaac for alerting us to this error.
  • 12-17-2021. Apologies to Fr. Palma, whose name was misspelled. This has been corrected. Many Thanks to Channing Horner for bringing this to my attention. Link to the Flickr photo album added.
