One due date for two important deadlines

Emily Davenport One-minute read.   Resources

As temperatures in Missouri begin to flutter up the thermometer (this week, at least), it makes me think of Spring and how soon it will arrive. But, just before spring has sprung, two important deadlines come to mind. The Roster/Slate of Delegate form and Lay License expiration; with applications for both due on March 1.

We have position-specific vestry/committee training in the pipeline, and we don’t want your leaders to miss out due to late rosters! Parishes, click here to complete your 2022 Vestry Roster/Slate of Delegates. Congregations, please click here to submit your 2022 Bishop’s Committee Roster Request (required prior to submitting your roster/slate form; you’ll receive the link to the Bishop’s Committee Roster/Slate of Delegates once your request has been approved).

When Eucharistic Minister (EM), Eucharistic Visitor(EV), and Evangelist lay license expirations were last discussed, it was explained that some training guidelines were up in the air. Unfortunately, because there has been no training update from The Episcopal Church, we need to move forward regardless, accepting applications for new and renewal Eucharistic Minister, Eucharistic Visitor, Evangelist lay licenses. If applicants have not completed the training courses indicated as required by the guidelines on the diocesan website, please submit your application with all information possible and we will reach out to the churches and licensees once the new training modules are available. Please keep in mind, background checks are still required to serve as a Eucharistic Visitor and/or Evangelist. Diversity and Reconciliation training for Eucharistic Visitor and/or Evangelist is also required and should be completed as courses become available in late April (watch the New Spirit for those dates and registration).
