When: June 18, 2022, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 East 40th Street, Kansas City, MO, 64111
For: Anyone interested in teaching using the Godly Play Foundation’s resources

You are invited to attend a Godly Play teacher training event Saturday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City Missouri. Kathleen Capcara from The Godly Play Foundation will be our trainer. It is designed both for those new to Godly Play, and those already trained but looking for new ideas.

She will cover the theological underpinnings of religious language and children, the fundamentals of a Godly Play classroom, how the lessons and materials work, the basics of class cooperation, guide your teaching skills, and help you learn to build rooms of your own.

Kathleen brings years of experience with the program, especially in using it to engage older children. In-person training is the best way to learn firsthand about the spiritual lives of our youngest members, while also stirring-up opportunities for adults to deepen their faith lives with a personal sense of joy and wonder.  We believe everyone will leave spiritually renewed.  We will cover all ‘the basics of the program, breaking for lunch midday, making room for prayers, and for your questions. Childcare and materials will be provided.
