Education for Ministry Class Forming

Kim Snodgrass One-minute read.   Resources

Participating in EfM is a worthwhile investment in your spiritual life. Students will tell you it is gratifying, enjoyable, and challenging. Studying together, sharing together, we learn, grow and transform.

Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry. An EfM seminar group offers an opportunity to discover how to respond to the call to Christian service. Through study, prayer and reflection we are moved toward a new understanding of our roles in God’s kingdom.

A new group has formed at St. Paul’s in Kansas City. They usually follow the academic calendar and will begin their first regular meeting on Tuesday, September 13. That’s just around the corner, so they do not have much time remaining to enroll participants. They will meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 11 East 40th Street, Kansas City, Missouri with some students currently attending by zoom. If you are interested, they suggest you browse the EfM webpage at EfM.Sewanee.edu and/or contact either Easom Bond, mentor for the new group, or mentor Marie Thompson by email.

Kim Snodgrass is Assistant to the Bishop for Christian Formation.
