There is still time to register for the upcoming Undoing Racism Workshop sponsored by the Diocesan Diversity & Reconciliation Commission.
For generations our nation has struggled with the sin of racism. Racism was actually built into many of the systems at work in this country and as a result persists to this day. The Episcopal Church is committed to doing the hard work of challenging and undoing the structures and systems built to keep us divided. Part of this commitment is the expectation that leaders in our Church will learn about these issues. This training is an opportunity to become informed about our history and the systemic racism that continues to plague us. It also gives us an opportunity to begin to think about what next steps we need to take in our Diocese to work against racism here and now. The workshop is being held concurrently on September 24 at St. John’s, Springfield and Good Shepherd, Kansas City from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lunch is included.
