
On November 4 and 5, 2022, the 133rd Annual Convention of The Diocese of West Missouri was held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kansas City, Missouri. This was the diocese’s first convention since the election of Bishop Diane as the diocese’s Bishop Provisional in 2021.

On Friday, November 4, the convention’s opening Eucharist took place, followed by a reception in Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral’s Founders’ Hall.

During the business session, the following actions were taken.
Resolutions
Resolution #1 (Renaming Associate Chancellor to Vice Chancellor) was adopted. This was the second reading of a change to the Constitution of The Diocese of West Missouri. This resolution was adopted by the convention in a vote by orders.
Resolution #2 (Converting the Chancellor into a Non-Voting Member of Diocesan Convention) was adopted. This was the first reading of a change to the Constitution of The Diocese of West Missouri. This resolution will need to be adopted at next year’s convention on a vote by orders for the change to go into effect.
Resolution #3 (Converting the Chancellor into a Non-Voting Member of Diocesan Convention). This was a change to the Canons of The Diocese of West Missouri. The resolution was adopted by the convention.

Plan for Ministry
The 2023 Plan for Ministry was adopted. The operating income and expenses in the Plan for Ministry is $1.91 million. Covenanted portions from congregations represent just over $1.21 million of the operating income.
