For: anyone interested in discussing the concepts of sacred or ‘thin’ spaces.
With the help of Belden Lane’s book Landscapes of the Sacred, we will look at the relationship between sacred, or ‘mystical’ experiences in the context of the places where they occur.

Clergy Retreat 2022

The clergy of The Diocese of West Missouri will gather again this year for a time of spiritual renewal and growth at Conception Abbey. During this gathering we will spend time in worship, prayer, and fellowship with one another.

Leadership Essentials Session 10 – Advanced Care Planning

Come learn about the why and how of advanced care planning. This session is an opportunity to learn about resources available to guide us and those we minister with in reflecting on and answering questions about the transition to life eternal. We’ll explore ways to have these conversations from a theological/spiritual perspective.

Join us for a joyful musical celebration as we celebrate the successful completion of a three-year restoration project of our pipe organ by The Reuter Organ Co. Artists include Ann Marie Rigler, Geoff Wilcken, Ron Krebs, Joshua Hearn, Paul Meier, Jan Kraybill, the William Jewell College Concert Choir, Songflower Chorale, and the St. George’s Choristers.

This exhibit and presentation is a powerful and moving visual experience of an extremely harsh reality happening in Türkiye (formerly known as Turkey) at this time.

Fall 2022 Diversity Workshop: Undoing Racism

When: Saturday, September 24, 2022, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: Church of the Good Shepherd, Kansas City and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Springfield.
Who: Diocese-wide.
The purpose of this workshop is to assist the diocese in eliminating the sin of racism. This training fulfills the intent of several General Convention resolutions, which call for leaders at all levels of The Episcopal Church to receive training on the Church’s teaching about racial diversity and other forms of diversity present within the human family.

Harvest Festival at Oswald’s in-the-Fields

When: Sunday, October 2 at 11 a.m.
Where: St. Oswald’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church.

Family and friends of St. Oswald’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in rural Skidmore return each fall for a special service.  This year’s celebration is the 124th Harvest Festival and will be held on Sunday, October 2, beginning at 11 a.m.
