Art LaGrange One-minute read. ResourcesSt Peter & All Saints Episcopal Church currently supports 40 students with weekly Harvester Backsnack deliveries and has decided to step it up a notch for the Thanksgiving Holiday. In an outreach support effort with Frontier School of Innovation, the church will be providing 13 families, a total of 76 family members, with turkeys and all the sides for a family meal.
Additionally, when asked the school informed the church that not all families had the means to actually cook a turkey. The church began to look for a solution that would provide pre-cooked turkeys to those families.
Stepping up to help the church are Matt and Anne Alexiou, owners of Southside Bar and Grill. When approached to cook the turkeys, they offered up their kitchen and Chef Doug Salmon to help meet the needs of families, who might not otherwise have a Thanksgiving dinner.
This has proven to be a circle of people working towards a common goal of feeding our neighbors. Frontier School of Innovation helping families of students, being helped by St Peter & All Saints Outreach, being helped by a local restaurant with a big heart.
