On the afternoon of Saturday, June 27, 2020, Melissa Roberts George was ordained into the Priesthood. The service was initially scheduled to be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Joplin. A sudden increase in COVID-19 cases in the Joplin area resulted in the service being moved to Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kansas City, Missouri, with only those people essential to the service in attendance.
