On the evening of Thursday, July 15, 2021, Fr. Jasmes Harris Jr. was installed as Priest in Charge of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, West Plains, Missouri. There was a small but highly appreciative congregation present in person to witness the service, which was live-streamed on the diocesan website and Facebook.

About Fr. James Harris

Born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Collinsville, Oklahoma, Fr. Jim Harris brings more than 23 years of ordained parish experience to his new calling at All Saints Episcopal Church in West Plains. Fr. Harris has been married to his college sweetheart, Laural for 37+ years. Laural is a retired dentist and now spends her time raising and training European bred Doberman Pinschers.

Fr. Jim and Laural have two adult daughters and five young grandchildren and are enjoying their new home on 100 acres in Douglass County Missouri.

Fr. Jim is a private pilot, a black belt in martial arts, an active Ironman triathlete, and most importantly, a master of “honey-do this” for Laural. He is a life-professed member of the Anglican Order of Preachers, having served as the Order’s Treasurer for the past five years. He is a mentor for the Order’s Novices in the subject area of Thomas Aquinas. He has his Doctorate of Ministry in Congregational Development from The Seabury Institute and is a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution – Ozark Mountain Chapter.

Gary Allman was the Communications Director with The Diocese of West Missouri from March 2014 through June 2023.
