Children and Family Ministry meeting – October 21

When: Thursday, October 21, 2021, 7 p.m.
Where: Online.

A number of churches within our diocese offer active ministries for children and families or are hoping to move in that direction. On Thursday, October 21, at 7 p.m. join in a virtual gathering to learn, share ideas, and network our resources. Together, we find even more joy in the work God has called us to.

Please join us in the conversation by contacting formation@diowestmo.org for a virtual meeting link

The October meeting is the third of newly formed informal, quarterly online meetings. This month, we will catch up with each other, then focus on ready-to-go Advent resources such as a Way of Love action-oriented calendar, Advent in a Box/Bag, and Sacred Space for congregational use. We also want to make time for a short presentation on why Godly Play might be the “best thing out there”. If you’ve ever wondered why it’s so well-received, come hear more!

Each quarterly meeting is time together to explore anything that might be helpful continuing education options and use the following schedule to set us up for success!

  • Mid-December – (Epiphany, Lent and the Easter Season)
  • March (Summer and thinking ahead to fall)

We all want our congregations to engage children and help them grow in their faith. We need to offer each other the support and encouragement to make good things happen. Please join us in the conversation by contacting formation@diowestmo.org for a virtual meeting link.

Note: Please share this invitation and the link with others involved in this ministry in your church. And, if you are not able to attend this meeting, please let us know you are interested in a future gathering by emailing formation@diowestmo.org. We’ll make sure you stay in the loop.
