The Rev. Chandler Jackson III has been elected the new dean of the Southern Deanery by the Southern Deanery Council. Fr. Chandler replaces Fr. Jos Tharakan, who has stepped down since becoming the Bishop Elect of the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho.

Fr. Chandler is the priest in charge of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Ozark, Missouri. He said, “It’s especially an honor to be the first part-time member of the clergy to be elected dean in West Missouri.”
