Cursillo is an old Spanish ministry and has been active in the Episcopal Church for nearly fifty years, with modern threads to the Church’s Jesus Movement and Way of Love. Cursillo, as a lay ministry, seeks to awaken and grow our evangelistic purpose to share the Good News by providing:

  • An opportunity to grow in faith and in spirituality.
  • A deeper understanding of the teachings of Jesus and how we can serve Him.
  • An experience of living and sharing with others in a loving and caring Christian community and realizing that this can be extended into our own environment.
  • A continuing community that gives support and encouragement to help Christians carry out their Baptismal Vows.

Cursillo is often used in parish renewal by sending parishioners through three-day Cursillo Weekends to help encourage, empower, and inspire Christians to see the apostolic work that God is calling them to do wherever they are: at home, at work, at church, in their communities, with friends and with strangers. Afterwards, members of the Cursillo community remain connected through regular small and large group reunions to share in our Christian life.

Ultreya!
