Nominations, resolutions, and reports for the 133rd Annual Convention of the Diocese of West Missouri taking place on November 4 and 5 at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral and online are now being accepted.

Nominations

Have you considered volunteering your time and talents to serving the church in diocesan leadership (elected and/or appointed) and wondered what would be expected of you? How much time is involved? Descriptions of all opportunities are available online.

The forms titled Clergy Nomination Form and Lay Nomination Form are used to nominate someone (or yourself) for Diocesan Council, the Standing Committee and/or General Convention Deputy.  Please use one form per nomination.  Please also submit a clear head and shoulders photograph of the nominee.

For all other nominations, please use the Opportunities to Serve form.  Positions on Bishop Kemper School for Ministry, Examining Chaplains, Commission on Ministry and the Disciplinary Boards are elected during Convention from those expressing interest via this form.  All other positions are appointments made from those expressing an interest to serve.  Please mark all the areas you have an interest in serving.

Resolutions

Information for anyone wishing to submit a resolution — including a sample resolution — is provided on the Annual Convention Website.

Resolutions should be submitted via email to resolutions@diowestmo.org on or before Friday October 7, 2022.

Reports

If you are the chair of a commission, committee, or lead a diocesan ministry you should already have received an email requesting your report. Information on how to compile your report is given on the Annual Convention Website. Please also submit any pictures you have of your commission/ministry in action.

Reports should be submitted via email to reports@diowestmo.org on or before Thursday September 15, 2022.

Note: Registration for the 2022 convention will be open September 8, to October 7, 2022. Delegates and other attendees must register themselves online before registration closes. All convention clergy and lay delegates on file will be emailed when registration opens.
