On September 16, the Diversity and Reconciliation Commission hosted a Diversity Workshop at Grace Episcopal Church in Liberty. Members from all across the diocese got together to learn about the importance of diversity and the influences it has in our community.
The workshop, led by the Rev. Chas Marks and Canon Shirley Bolden, featured several presentations centered around the history of racism and its impact on culture today. Aside from presentations, people got to participate in open discussions and a “Privilege Walk” to create conversation about how diversity and racism has impacted people on a personal level.
