One-minute read. NourishKC achieved some amazing things in 2019 – most important of which was offering a place of warmth, hospitality, and nourishment to our neighbors who may not have enough food to sustain themselves or their families.
One-minute read. Food is our most basic need. Yet often, we expect those who are hungry to pull themselves up, dust themselves off, go to work, go stand in line to fill out paperwork, parent their children, clean up their yard, contribute to the world around them … and then we will feed them. If, even for a few moments, we can provide a high quality, nutritious meal in a safe place, a place where individuals and families can regroup, refocus and refresh their energies, we can impact their overall well-being and change their lives. What if we feed people in an atmosphere of dignity and respect?
