Intern Opportunities

Interns are highly valued team members of The Diocese of West Missouri’s Formation programs.

The Summer Intern program has two places available for young adults who graduated high school in 2019 or earlier. The new Ministry Intern is for young adults, at least 21 years old and who have discerned a call to vocation in ministry. Both internship programs are designed to fulfill four main goals: grow in relationship with God and others, train in ministry and life skills, reproduce leadership and be involved in active ministry.

Broadly speaking, Summer Interns are involved in event planning, on-site event assistance, personal discernment, and assigned reading. The Ministry Intern position will also include research, resource development, and administrative duties.

To find out more about the positions, please contact Josh Trader by email wemoyouth@diowestmo.org. Or, you may go directly to the online Summer Intern or Ministry Intern application forms.

Josh Trader is The Bishop’s Assistant for Youth Ministry Development for The Diocese of West Missouri and a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church, Springfield.
