When the current diocesan website was first built over six years ago it had a couple of dozen pages or so. Now it has grown to over 270 pages. With all that growth, the content has become more difficult to find and increasingly difficult to manage and update. Last year we split off the News and Events content to the New Spirit. This summer we have started work on moving all the administrative content to office.diowestmo.org. It’s a huge task and will take a long time to complete.
As we are moving pages we are switching the links and menus on the main site to direct you to their new locations, so don’t be surprised if you click on something and things start to look a little different. Currently, we are moving the most frequently accessed material and the content that supports this year’s Special and Annual Conventions.
Here’s the overall plan.
- Import and initial sort of information from the main diocesan website,
- Improve finding and viewing information,
- Review and refine.
