Parenting: You got the guidebook, right?

Kim Snodgrass One-minute read.   Resources

Oh wait, you didn’t get a parenting guidebook either? Go figure; it sure would have been helpful though. That’s exactly why I encourage you to put the virtual Parenting With Mindfulness workshop on your calendar for this coming weekend – 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 12th. It may not be a guidebook, but it will bring you that much closer to writing your own.

Combine a guidebook with on-the-job training and you’ve got a recipe for something good. Let the kids do something especially fun like a picnic breakfast and movie while you sit back in a comfy spot to absorb helpful, practical guidance and recommendations. Kat Mercer and Jeff Janney bring a unique perspective of wellness to encourage spirituality and socially, emotionally healthy families – and that has to includes a parents well-being, too.

Parenting with Mindfulness gives you access to the collective sum of knowledge from two experienced professionals in the field of counseling and children’s spirituality. And, because they’re parents they can relate to our uncertainties and whatever questions we have.

Children are not a distraction from more important work; they are the most important work.

C.S. Lewis

Odds are good that you’re already doing things right most of the time, but Jeff and Kat will bring to light useful strategies for when you do need help. Parenting With Mindfulness aims to improve the mental health and spiritual well-being of an entire family by focusing on solutions and the language of faith.

Whether you are a parent-to-be, have a full house or find yourself being a hands-on grandparent, choose to spend Saturday, September 12th in good company!
