Jamillah Duckett, the diocesan Events Coordinator will be leaving the diocesan staff on December 22. Jamillah, who joined the diocesan staff in May 2020 as the half-time Events Coordinator, is moving on to take up a full-time role.
Bishop Bruce said, “Although I have not known Jamillah long, I have grown quickly to appreciate her many gifts and skills. She will be greatly missed on this staff!” Emily Davenport, Bishop Bruce’s Executive Assistant, and part of the duo who collectively referred to themselves as ‘#Jamily’ said, “Working with Jamillah has been a pure delight. Her servant spirit, bright demeanor, and astounding professionalism have set the bar very high for her successor.”
Speaking personally, it’s been a great pleasure to work closely with Jamillah over the past year and a half. She has been dedicated to her role and quickly learned new skills as we adapted to delivering events in the midst of the pandemic. I’m going to miss our video calls and conversations in chat, not to mention her regular postings of ‘Go Chiefs!’ She is going to be a tough act to follow.
