We are pleased to introduce Rachael Orth, who joined the Diocesan Staff on May 16 in the half-time position of Events Coordinator. Rachael will be responsible for the logistics (registration, venue bookings, contracts, and organizing refreshments and meals, etc.) for diocesan-wide events, and events of interest to a wider diocesan audience.

Rachael is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, and has lived in many places including Boston, Massachusetts; Charleston, South Carolina; and Osage Beach, Missouri.

She has spent over 23 years working in catering, conference, and event sales/coordination. During that time she has worked for private golf clubs, beach resorts, premier hotel groups, and non-profit organizations.

Rachael’s hobbies include tennis, golf, cooking, and traveling. She is nationally ranked with the United States Tennis Association, has a mean golf swing, and travels to Palm Desert, California regularly to play golf and enjoy a family home that overlooks one of the PGA West Golf Courses.

And she’s a certified caterer!

She also enjoys watching sports: professional football, college basketball, tennis, golf, and baseball.

Rachael’s joys are her daughter, “she is the love of my life. She is smart, kind, beautiful, and a Freshman in Highschool.” Her partner, with whom she travels and shares several of her hobbies, and her family. Racheal’s best friend is her 96-year young and active grandmother who lives in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Rachael has two pets, a Jack Russell named Bix and Rosie the tabby cat, both of whom we are sure you’ll get to see on Zoom at some point.

And finally, Rachael enjoys serving others. she said, “I love to volunteer cooking and donate food items throughout the year. I serve on several committees on a volunteer basis within the Blue Valley school district.”
