Over 125 (possibly closer to 150!) were there on Sunday August 7 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kansas City for the Northwest-Metro Deanery picnic.
Dean Robin L. James, the Dean of the Northwest Metro Deanery was wearing her sunflower apron and ready to go! A special shout out to the people of the Church of the Good Shepherd who, two days in a row, opened their church, showed wonderful hospitality and took care of us all! Under the able direction of Fr. Galen Snodgrass we were all in good hands! The Events Coordinator with the mostest — Rachel Orth — worked her magic again today! The diocesan staff were out in full force as well — Ron Weil, Emily Davenport, Kim Snodgrass, Gary Allman, Charles Everson, and Chas Marks (who was celebrating his 50th birthday). It was hot out there, so the water slide was a very popular hit with the young ones — and some not so young (Fr. Galen!). Can’t thank everyone enough for being there!
