The 3 Part Series: A Journey with the Desert Mystics Returns!

Good news! The Rev. Brad Karelius will be doing an encore presentation of his 3-part series on desert spirituality in the southern part of the Diocese of West Missouri this December.

The Desert Mothers and Fathers of the 4th and 5th centuries have stories that continue to speak to us about solitude and silence, death, grace, and true freedom. Their sayings create an environment that invites our spirit to grow into God’s deepest desires for us.

The first part of the series, Desert Mothers, will begin at St. Philips in Joplin on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. The Desert Fathers presentation will start on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. at St. James in Springfield, and finally his own desert journey at Christ Church in Springfield on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Brad will also be the homilist at Christ Church that Sunday.

There is no fee to attend the series and you are invited to register for one, or all three, opportunities.
