International Outreach Grant Program – IOG

Did you know that each year The Diocese of West Missouri sets aside funds to match financial gifts from parishes to worthy overseas causes? We call this the International Outreach Grant (IOG) program (formerly known as the Millennium Development Grant program).

When your church makes financial gifts to foreign projects that meet predefined criteria, the diocese will match those gifts up to $1,000. It is a great way to ‘leverage’ your international outreach!

In the past, we have seen the Episcopal Churches of West Missouri, both large and small, support schooling, feeding, and birthing center programs in Haiti; water projects in the Dominican Republic; eye surgery centers in the Middle East, the list goes on.

The Episcopal Churches of West Missouri do a pretty good job of taking care of outreach projects and supporting people in need in our own neighborhoods. The International Outreach Grant program exists in our diocese (and elsewhere) to remind and help us in supporting our brothers and sisters overseas.

Will you lead your congregation in support of a meaningful international outreach program this year? We’ll be ready to match your contribution with a grant from the International Outreach Grant program. Check-out the details and access the forms on the diocesan website.

The Venerable Bruce Bower is Archdeacon of The Diocese of West Missouri.
