Introduced by the Rt. Rev. Martin S. Field, bishop of West Missouri, watch these seven short video talks, two pre-recorded and five delivered live. Each presentation deals with different aspects and approaches to handling adversity, the events of 2020, and how we can move towards recovery and hope.
Hope & Faith in a Time of Discouragement was recorded live during a Zoom meeting held on April 20, 2021. It has been lightly edited to remove discussions about technical issues and to adjust sound levels.

3 I am one who has seen affliction
Lamentations 3:1-6
under the rod of God’s wrath;
2 he has driven and brought me
into darkness without any light;
3 against me alone he turns his hand,
again and again, all day long.
4 He has made my flesh and my skin waste away,
and broken my bones;
5 he has besieged and enveloped me
with bitterness and tribulation;
6 he has made me sit in darkness
like the dead of long ago.
For Joy in God’s Creation
Book of Common Prayer p814
O heavenly Father, who hast filled the world with beauty:
Open our eyes to behold thy gracious hand in all thy works;
that, rejoicing in thy whole creation, we may learn to serve
thee with gladness; for the sake of him through whom all
things were made, thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
