The Everything Holy project invites you to begin reading The Book of Joy with us this May.

Two great spiritual masters and moral leaders of our time, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, share their personal stories and teachings about joy, recent findings in the science of deep happiness, and the daily practices that anchor their own emotional and spiritual lives.

Through them, we see experiences of great personal and national adversity, hardships, and oppression transformed into joy. Now that both men are in their eighties, they especially want to spread the core message that you must bring joy to others to have joy yourself.

Pick up this book to find out why then add your reflections and respond to questions posted on the Everything Holy Facebook Group beginning May 1. The Book of Joy was published in 2016 and is available through public libraries, and it can also found through online booksellers.

Kim Snodgrass is Assistant to the Bishop for Christian Formation.
