Holy Week at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral

This year we are sharing the Holy Week services from Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral so that churches in West Missouri that are unable to hold or share all their Holy Week services online can come together and join us in prayer.

The Bishops of the Episcopal dioceses of Kansas, Western Kansas, Missouri, and West Missouri, in concert with the Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Central States Synod, invite you to join them online in an ecumenical service streamed live from Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m.

Church Leadership Essentials

Thursday, February 25, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday, February 27, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Bishop’s Staff invite you to attend one of these two online sessions which will provide essential information for new and returning vestry members and other church staff and leaders.

Christmas Services 2020

Join the Episcopal Churches of West Missouri in celebrating the Nativity of our Lord. There’s something for everyone, with options for attending physically distanced, in-person services, parking lot services, or joining in from the comfort of your own home with online services.

The 131st Annual Convention of The Diocese of West Missouri

When: November 7, 2020.
Where: Online Meeting with a public broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.

God willing and the Special Convention (October 3) approving, the 131st Annual Convention of The Diocese of West Missouri will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020. The event will be an online meeting, and full details will be made available in due course.

Annual Convention Technology Training

Two additional training sessions are available to help you become familiar with the basic Zoom features, voting, chat, etc. Please use this time to ask any questions you may have. You may attend more than one session.

Constitution & Canons Committee – Special Convention Resolution

Anyone with an interest or comment on the resolution to be presented and voted on at the Special Convention to be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral on October 3 is invited to join this online meeting of the diocesan Constitutions and Canons Committee.

Growing in Holiness — Clergy Retreat 2020

Where: Zoom meeting.
When: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. October 12-14.
For: Diocesan clergy (priests and deacons) only.
St. Francis of Assisi called his followers to become “pray-er” rather than just pray. We believe we can become the “pray-er” so that we can transition into the next phase of our common life of The Diocese of West Missouri as one people, healed and blessed.

Wellness Gathering: Parenting With Mindfulness Workshop

When: September 12, 2020. 9 a.m. to Noon.
Where: Online. There will be a limited ‘by invitation only’ audience present in person at the event.
For: Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers and extended families raising children (and young adults).

Before becoming parents and grandparents we were children. For the first 20 years or so of our lives, we lived our own developmental lifespan. Influenced primarily by our parents & grandparents, we managed a series of milestones and negotiated innumerable experiences that cultivated our social and emotional sense of self as well as our understanding of our place in the world.

Racial justice and healing leaders and practitioners across The Episcopal Church will gather to build community, craft strategy and equip each other for action during a series of “Becoming Beloved Community NOW” online gatherings.
